What We Do

Many friends saw my work with pets and children and encouraged me to move in the realm of portrait and wedding photography, thus Picture ‘You’ was born.

When I photograph a wedding I always strive to fit into the plans and desires of the bride and groom. This is their day so their ideas and preferences are very important to me.

I never compromise on quality. I use 35mm Agfa film that captures the true colors of your wedding and I use the best processing in town. I don’t do fancy special effects or offer expensive trappings. I am the practical photographer for couples who want quality at fair prices.

For senior pictures we use the unique settings in my studio located at the Paws store in downtown Rapid City, SD. We also go to different locations in the downtown area, or park settings, Canyon Lake Park being one of my personal favorites. Friends and pets are always welcome as well as anything that reflects your hobbies, interests or talents.

Whether taking wedding pictures, senior pictures, reunions, groups or special occasions, I always strive to put people at ease and have fun. That is what capturing the moment is all about.

Along with Pet and People type pictures; I have a unique collection of scenic pictures of South Dakota. Years ago, South Dakota was nicknamed “The land of infinite variety.” I don’t know why it was ever changed. It is so appropriate. My favorite pictures are the ones that, in a sense, tell a story. Some of these are on the web in the gallery. These are all good quality and fair priced reflections of our beloved Black Hills and the changing seasons.
